My primary focus is working with retirees or those approaching retirement.  I help these clients determine if they have enough money saved for retirement, determine when best to claim Social Security benefits, and help them transition from earning a paycheck to living off retirement savings.  We can either manage retirement and brokerage accounts directly or recommend a liquidation strategy clients manage on their own.

I also work with younger clients that are starting financial plans, local small business owners, and government employees enrolled in the Arizona State Retirement System.  Planning for these clients focuses on both current and future goals, investment management, and tax strategies that minimize expenses.  Financial plans can be tailored to a variety of unique circumstances.

Investment management is individually focused on your goals, comfort with market risk, and the investment time horizon.  Portfolios are primarily constructed using low cost, diversified exchange traded funds.  Actively managed mutual funds can be used to further diversify a portfolio and reduce investment risk.  Individual stocks or bonds, REITs, and UITs can be used on a discretionary basis to provide value above your investment benchmark.

Independent Fiduciary

downtown phoenix

A fiduciary is required to put their client's needs ahead of their own.  Not all financial professionals can claim to be a fiduciary.  Banks, insurance companies, and investment firms that claim to act as fiduciaries do so in a limited capacity.  Working with CFP Professional that is a local Registered Investment Advisor is the best way to safeguard your fiancial future.

Socially Responsible

Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) funds allow you to invest your money into causes you believe in.  Socially responsible investing (SRI), also known as sustainable, socially conscious, green, or ethical investing, is shaping the future.  I build custom investment strategies that consider both financial returns as well as the social causes clients request.

Fee Only Advisor

downtown phoenix

Traditionally, financial advisors were paid a commission each time clients bought an investment.  There is an inherent conflict of interest with working that way.  In order to provide objective advice, I work under a fee only model.  Clients can pay by the hour, project, or retain ongoing services through a percentage of the investment assets managed.
