Phoenician Financial Planning's focus is on helping retirees or those approaching retirement. What we do is help you determine how much money you need to save for retirement, when best to claim Social Security benefits, and how best to transition from earning a paycheck to living off retirement savings. We can either manage your investment portfolios or recommend a strategies clients can maintain on their own.

Planning isn't just for retirees. Our services also help younger clients that are starting to save, local small business owners, and government employees enrolled in the Arizona State Retirement System. Planning for these clients focuses on both current and future goals, investment management, and tax strategies that help minimize liabilities. Financial plans can be tailored to a variety of unique circumstances.

Investment management is focused on your individual goals, your comfort with market risk, and how long you plan to invest. Our portfolios are constructed using low cost, diversified exchange traded funds and actively managed mutual funds. Individual stocks or bonds, REITs, and UITs can be used on a discretionary basis to provide value above your investment benchmark.

Independent Fiduciary

downtown phoenix

A fiduciary is required to put their client's needs ahead of their own. Less than 10% financial advisors in the U.S. are required to work under the fiduciary standard set for Registered Investment Advisors. The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards sets its own strict fiduciary standard that certificate holders must abide by.

Socially Responsible

Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) funds allow you to invest your money into causes you believe in. Socially responsible investing (SRI), also known as sustainable, socially conscious, green, or ethical investing, is shaping the future. We build custom investment strategies that consider both financial returns as well as the social causes clients request.

Fee Only Advisor

downtown phoenix

Traditionally, financial advisors are paid a commission each time clients purcahse an investment. There is an inherent conflict of interest with working that way. In order to provide objective advice, I work under a fee only model. Clients can pay by the hour, project, or retain ongoing services through a percentage of the investment assets managed.
